Birthday is a special day for everyone. And when it's our child's birthday, we try to do every possible thing which they like, and is in our reach.
How do we celebrate birthday-
When the Kids are small, say when they are 1 yr old, we celebrate birthdays for them, but they do not understand the meaning of it at that age. But slowly, as they grew up, they understands it's a special day for them, but still they do not understand much of it, other than few specific stuffs, like playing with balloon, and cutting the cake.
So, here in EuroKids- Ashiana Nagar, for playgroups we are trying to make our kids understand how to celebrate a birthday. The whole month of April, we taught them, celebrated and enjoyed with them, the process of celebrating the birthdays.
Here, are some overlook of the whole process, which as a parent you can revise with your child at home.
Day 1 - We arranged the cake, randomly selected one child and cut the cake. We let the kids eat the cake, so they get to know what happens after the cake is cut in a birthday party.
Day 2 - We taught them, how to arrange a cake.
Day 3 - We told them, how to blow a balloon, and put them, and where to put them, for the decoration before the party begins.
Day 4 -The kids should also know, when they are going to a birthday party, they have to give a gift. So, on this day, we taught them how to do a gift wrap. They need to say thankyou when they are getting a gift. So, what we do, is give the kids a small box and teach them how to wrap.
Day 5 - On this day, we randomly select a child, and all other kids are suppose to give the gifts to that particular child. Gifts are mostly a colored chalk, which we give it to the gifts to let them practice. And the child who is receiving the gifts, learns to say every other child " thank you".
Day 6 - On this very day, we taught them how to make paper flowers.
and so on ....... continues for the whole month.
We know all child are special, so we give every child a chance to learn. We make every child SPECIAL.
